Tony Brock has served as CEO of The Headstrong Project since August 2026. As a combat veteran, Tony brings a firsthand understanding of what veterans and service members carry home from war — and a clear sense of purpose about how everyone can help deliver barrier-free mental health services to our exceptional military community.
A retired U.S. Navy Commander and former Intelligence Officer, he led deployed teams in support of global intelligence activities and special operations missions — including the U.S. Navy SEALs and U.S. Army Special Forces — and served as a Naval Attaché in Hong Kong, China. His military awards include the Defense Superior Service Medal, Bronze Star Medal, and Combat Action Ribbon.
Previously, Tony served as co-founder and CEO of Compass Leadership Partners, an executive coaching firm; founding Executive Director of the Griffin Leadership Institute at the National Medal of Honor Museum Foundation; a veteran advocate with The Honor Foundation; and founding Executive Director of the Brooks Center for Maritime Engagement at the Office of Naval Intelligence.
He graduated with a BA from University of Florida, an MBA from University of Maryland, and completed executive education in Finance and Data Analytics from Harvard Business School. Tony is a national Keynote Speaker with Leading Authorities Inc in Washington, D.C., and a Certified Executive Leadership Coach via Georgetown University and The International Coaching Federation.
Tony is married to the former Susan Richardson Youmans of Montclair, New Jersey, who now leads Compass Leadership Partners. Service runs deep in the Brock family, with multiple adult children and spouses now active in the military and their communities. Tony and Susan live in and enjoy traveling from Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas.
