Kristin Meisner, LPC, CAS, has been a licensed professional counselor in the State of Colorado since 2011 and a certified addiction specialist since 2002. Kristin began working with The Headstrong Project as a Clinical Partner in early 2023 before joining the internal team as Clinical Care Coordinator, playing a central role in intake, client support, and collaboration with Clinical Partners. After more than two years with Headstrong, Kristin was promoted to Regional Director, Clinical Network, bringing her deep knowledge of the organization’s unique systems, culture, and client journey to support our vast network of more than 320 clinicians across the nation.
After working in the mental health field for over 25 years, Kristin understands the barriers veterans and their families face when attempting to access mental health care for trauma. She is passionate about breaking down these barriers and challenging the ongoing stigma of mental health care.
Kristin received her B.S. in psychology from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse and M.A. in community counseling from Adams State University in Alamosa, Colorado. Kristin has experience working with individuals, couples, and families. She is trained in Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Brief Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Suicide Prevention, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Processing Therapy, Solution focused therapy, and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Kristin resides in Colorado, where, in her free time, she enjoys traveling, the outdoors, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.
