Erin Mintmier brings her unwavering dedication to supporting the men and women who serve our nation to The Headstrong Project as the Senior Director of Major Gifts. With over fifteen years of experience in the nonprofit sector, Erin has consistently demonstrated a steadfast passion for making a positive impact on the lives of service members, veterans, and their families.
Erin‘s remarkable journey in the military nonprofit world includes her recent five-year tenure with the USO Major Gifts team. During this time, she worked closely with individual donors and foundations, growing her devotion to supporting the military community. Her commitment to supporting those who serve was fueled by her five-and-a-half years with the USO in the Middle East. Throughout the region, Erin worked tirelessly at various USO centers and traveled to locations without a USO presence to provide vital assistance to military personnel deployed to those remote areas. Overseas, she worked diligently to boost morale and offer a slice of home to those serving far away from their loved ones.
Before her work with the USO in the Middle East, Erin served as the Project Director for Kyle Petty Charity Ride, Inc. (KPCR, Inc.). There, she orchestrated the annual cross-country motorcycle ride to benefit Victory Junction, an integral part of Paul Newman’s Serious Fun Children’s Network. Erin‘s exceptional ability to cultivate enduring relationships with corporate partners and individual donors is demonstrated by their continued support of Victory Junction’s mission today. During her tenure at KPCR, Inc., Erin also played a pivotal role in establishing an endowment fund, ensuring long-lasting support for their noble cause.
Erin earned her BA in Communications with a concentration in Interpersonal and Organizational Communication from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. In her free time, she is not only a passionate Tar Heel but also an avid photographer and a globe-trotter, exploring the world for new experiences.
