AJ joins the Headstrong Project with 11 years experience in the military/non-profit community. AJ served in the AD Army as a Military Police Officer in Germany. Upon separating from the Army, AJ worked various jobs trying to find a new path: mechanic, waiter, warehouse worker, corrections officer, and butcher, before completing an internship his Senior year of college. After graduating in 2017, AJ joined the USO and helped open up USO Incirlik in Turkey. He ran Operations, helping boost morale and creating a home away from home environment. AJ planned and organized countless events focused on sports, gaming and recreation. After 1 year in Turkey, AJ transferred stateside and helped open up USO Fort Stewart, where he worked for USO Transitions – assisting others transitioning from service in regards to employment, education, VA benefits and so on. In 2019, AJ moved to Atlanta and served as the Marketing & Outreach Coordinator for the SHARE Military Initiative at the Shepherd Center. AJ helped SHARE expand their reach in the military community and become the premiere military focused TBI program in the country. In his free time, AJ spends time with his 3 boys, coaching their football and soccer teams. AJ also plays music, tattoos, serves as a guest analyst on a football podcast and is an avid gamer.
