Get familiar with one of Headstrong’s newest team members. Matt is the Director of West Coast, non-clinical field operations and one of the newest members on our growing team. Learn more about his journey below!
Why I joined Headstrong: I joined headstrong because it operates within two of my great passions, veteran services and mental health support. Both of which have a very close in my heart. My family has a long history of mental health struggles and I know the importance of treatment and care.
What’s my role: It is an honor to serve as the West Coast operations lead to help sustain and grow our partnerships on this sunny side of the country. I will be engaging with current and potential stakeholders to meet the new demands and client needs.
What I like most about Headstrong: Within the first couple days of talking to the team I knew something was different than any other organization I have worked previously in my career. It was apparent that it is similar to a flat organization, escaping the normal hierarchical norms that can create limitations for growth and creativity. I feel like I have the respect and freedom to create, innovate, and hopefully continue to make this program great.
What I like to do in my spare time: I am a huge advocate for fitness and you can usually catch me enjoying a bike ride along the strand, a sunset trail run, or maybe paddling out to catch a wave. I am currently training for my third ironman, which is set for late October of this year in Sacramento, CA AND hopefully will be selected to compete in American Ninja Warrior.
