Darlan Monterisi serves as Head of Communications & Brand at Dataminr. In the role, she is responsible for overseeing the company’s global corporate communications function, including regional Corporate Communications, Government Relations, Corporate Social Responsibility and Internal Communications, and stewards a highly integrated approach to delivering the company’s corporate and product messages to key audiences.
Darlan joined CA from Porter Novelli, where she served as Partner and Managing Director, responsible for the Hewlett-Packard account. As the global lead for HP’s PPS business, her primary responsibility was to provide strategic counsel to their marketing and communications teams.
Before joining Porter Novelli in 2011, Darlan served as global PR director for Rockstar Games, where she conceived, developed and executed integrated communications programs for titles including Grand Theft Auto IV and Midnight Club: Los Angeles.
Prior to that, she was an account director with Mullen, working on clients including the Department of Defense, BBN Technologies, H&R Block, Embarq and Wachovia. Earlier in her career, Darlan served as a captain in the U.S. Marine Corps, working as a public affairs officer providing strategic public affairs guidance to top Marine commanders and serving as a spokesperson for the First Marine Expeditionary Force in Fallujah, Iraq during Operation Vigilant Resolve in 2004.
Darlan earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science and Italian language and literature from the University of Chicago in 2001. She was selected in 2009 to PRWeek’s annual ’40 Under 40′ list.
