Matt recently joined Headstrong continuing his career in the veteran nonprofit space. Matt was the former Director of external affairs and innovation at Psych Armor Institute, where he remains a consultant for special projects. Previously, Matt worked with Headstrong’s Executive Director Jim McDonough at the IVMF where he helped build and grow coordinated communities under the AmericaServes model. A veteran himself, Matt served 6 years in army intelligence, graduating from the DLI with proficiency in Arabic, and was awarded the military outstanding volunteer service medal for his 100+ hours of community service. Matt is still an active volunteer in his community.
Matt is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio but currently resides in Los Angeles. He is a graduate of Allegheny College with an undergraduate degree in economics and recently graduated from Syracuse University where he earned his Masters in Business Administration. Matt has a lifelong passion for fitness and works as a personal trainer actively competes in triathlons and fitness competitions. He has completed over 50 different races, two140.6 Ironman races, and is currently training for his third Ironman at the end of October of this year. Matt also loves to dance and actually minored in dance at Allegheny.
